Discovering a Pet-Friendly Paradise: Our Stay at Rustevinde

Most of our clients and family members know how close we came to losing our beloved Batman. After that terrifying experience, I never thought we’d be able to enjoy a holiday with him again. Finding a pet-friendly venue where we could truly relax seemed impossible—until I embarked on a long search, sending numerous emails detailing our specific needs.

That search led me to a hidden gem called Rustevinde. The name says it all—an inviting retreat where nature and comfort blend seamlessly.

From the very first correspondence, Ria, the owner, was incredibly attentive. She kept in touch, providing detailed directions and final arrangements, making us feel welcomed even before we arrived.

Upon arrival, we were blown away. We stayed in the Boshuis, a spacious and well-equipped unit that felt like a home away from home. It’s a self-catering cottage, but everything you could need was right there—pots, pans, a variety of wine glasses, cutlery, and even an air fryer.

The outdoor area was truly breathtaking—immaculately maintained, clean, and peaceful. Our favorite features included a cozy jacuzzi and scenic walking trails. We also enjoyed game viewing by car, which allowed us to spot wildlife like warthog various bird species and even squirrels in our yard. We loved relaxing in the jacuzzi while watching the wildlife, a truly magical experience.

The yard itself had plenty of space for Batman and Bingels to roam freely. They spent hours on sniffaris, exploring and enjoying the fresh air. The friendly staff added to the warmth of our stay—they even stopped to say hi and had full conversations with the dogs, which is not something you often experience.
