My Experience at Wagondrift Lodge & Spa

Sometimes the best getaways are the ones you don’t plan.

I made a very last-minute decision that I needed a break from the busy pace of life. One of my biggest priorities was finding somewhere that was truly pet-friendly, where my dogs would be just as welcome as I was. That’s when I discovered the hidden gem that is Wagondrift Lodge & Spa.

From the moment I sent my first enquiry, the staff were exceptional. Every question I had was answered promptly, and they made sure I had all the information I needed to choose the perfect accommodation. Their friendly and professional service immediately gave me confidence that I had made the right choice.

When we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. It quickly became clear that “pet-friendly” isn’t just a label here—it’s something they truly embrace. At reception, there was fresh water available for pets and even a dedicated pee post outside, which was such a thoughtful and adorable touch. Little details like these make all the difference.

Our chalet was spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Throughout our visit, every member of staff was attentive, welcoming, and always willing to help.

One of the highlights of our stay was booking a game drive with our dogs, Bingels and Batman. What an incredible experience! Our guide was absolutely wonderful with both of them, making us all feel relaxed and included. We were fortunate enough to see an amazing variety of wildlife, and even while relaxing at our chalet, there was plenty of wildlife to enjoy.

It’s rare to find a place that exceeds your expectations in every way, but Wagondrift Lodge & Spa certainly did. In fact, before we’ve even left, I’ve already started looking at dates for our next visit because I simply can’t wait to come back.
